Twelve Pair Crossing

I use this 12-pair crossing in a few of my designs! Diagram below may assist if you are a more visual lacemaker.

General Notes:

•            Treat each PAIR as one thread

•            Pairs are numbered 1,2,3 etc. from left to right

•            The positions stay the same, but PAIRS move position

Method:

Pair No.3 - UNDER 1 pair, OVER 1 pair to the left Pair No.4 - OVER 1 pair to the left

Pair No.5 - UNDER 2 pairs, OVER 2 pairs to the left Pair No.6 - OVER 2 pairs to the left

Pair No.7 - UNDER 3 pairs, OVER 3 pairs to the left Pair No.8 - OVER 3 pairs to the left

Pair No.9 - UNDER 4 pairs, OVER 4 pairs to the left Pair No.10 - OVER 4 pairs to the left

Pair No.11- UNDER 5 pairs PIN

Pair No.12 - OVER 5 pairs, UNDER 5 pairs to the left

THEN - take 5 pairs to immediately left of PIN and pass OVER 4 pairs to the right of the PIN CLOTH STITCH each pair ready to start bottom section of leaves.
