Six & Eight Pair Crossings

These are my preferred methods for both the six & eight pair crossings:

All positions are numbered right to left with these numbers remaining fixed, but pairs move to new numbers as they work the crossing. Treat each pair as one thread.

SIX Pair Crossing:

 Take Pair No.3 under pairs 2 & 1 to the left and leave,

Take Pair No.4 under pairs 5 & 6 to the right and leave,

Cloth Stitch, PIN, Cloth Stitch with the middle 4 pairs,

Bring Pair No.1 over pairs 2 & 3 to the right,

Bring Pair No.6 over pairs 5 & 4 to the left.

EIGHT Pair Crossing:

Half Stitch centre 4 pairs,

Half Stitch right hand 4 pairs,

Half Stitch left hand pairs,

Repeat above,

PIN,

Cloth Stitch centre 4 pairs,

Take No.2 over No.3, then No.6 over No.7.
