Sequin Making Machine

Now you all know how much I love sequins and other sparkle in my lace, well how about this little nugget I discovered. Not sure it was ever built but the idea was there!
At some point between 1480 and 1482, Leonardo whipped together a sketch for a machine that, using levers and pulleys, would punch small disks out of a metal sheet. Leonardo da Vinci's sketch for a device for making sequins is housed at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan.
