Not every bride wants a garter, so why not a horseshoe?

This is not for the inexperienced lacemaker, as you have to change directions on each section to work round the horseshoe shape. Guidance is given on this but I only supply a starting diagram, with any other guidance notes as I felt necessary.

I would like to mention Jane Lewis, who found a way to design a horseshoe shape incorporating a 60 degree angle ground. She called it her light bulb moment. I was very lucky that she shared the method with me. I was totally in awe.
